Staka TopAccess Roof hatches featured in the March edition of ‘Industriebouw’

The construction of the Feringa Building in Groningen is a comprehensive project that falls under the wings of Ballast Nedam. In total, the construction covers a floor area of no less than 64,000 m². The University of Groningen has contracted four lots for the new Feringa Building. “Lot 1 (Ballast Nedam) is the construction work, lot 2 (De Groot-Lammerink) is the installation technology, lot 3 (Weseman) is the laboratory furniture and lot 4 (Kelvin) is the clean rooms.

Last October, Staka produced and supplied five TopAccess Roof Hatches for the Feringa Building in Groningen.

Account manager Hammou Houssaine explains: “the roof hatches that we produced and supplied for this project are 2.40 by 90 cm in size and made of stainless steel. By using very high-quality materials and a unique insulation value of U = 0.21 W/m2K, heat loss through roof openings is maximally reduced with these TopAccess roof hatches”
